Light Dance

Situated on the edge of the D River & a stone’s throw from the Pacific Ocean this sculpture both reflects & transforms its environment. An unexpected presence, it imparts a subtle mystery to this intimate public park.

The hexagonal font shape, poetically described as a receptacle for the sky, holds graduated diamonds in shades of marine blue that reference the adjacent waters. As the mirrored stainless elements move in the wind, they catch the light, flashing & sparkling – like light dancing on water.
