“Wetlands” is a lively installation proposal for the Kenmore City Hall covered terrace. Paying homage to the local natural environment, “Wetlands” reminds one of the history of the landscape in a playful composition easily interpreted by all ages.
Expansive in scale, the suspended, brushed stainless steel panels, laser cut in the shape of a flowing stream are seen from the street. As the mirrored stainless disks, hanging on a wire mesh grid anchored in the stream, flicker in the breeze, they shimmer like light dancing on water. Images of wetland flora & fauna enameled on the solid surfaces add color, contrast & realism to the metal “landscape”.
Note: Proposal building image for this installation is typical not actual.
