This small band was woven on a children’s loom from Green Stamps. I tied the heddles to strings that looped over my toes so my feet became the treadles to open the shed. It took over an hour to weave an inch, every pass of the shuttle a labor of love.
In 1977, this hat band was recognized as Best of Conference, Best of Booth, by the Handweavers Guild of America at their Conference in Victoria, BC, Canada.
